Another week spent chillin in Colorado. This post isn't going to be anything super wonderful because nothing crazy happened this week. Yeah, sorry, no tornadoes or vomit episodes this time. But just because nothing crazy happened doesn't mean it wasn't freaking great, because it totally was!
Unfortunately I am still loserly unemployed, so I spent a lot of the week trying to keep busy but really doing nothing. I have been babysitting for some random people here and there, trying to make a few bucks before I start regularly nannying next Monday (FINALLY woohoo). I laid at the pool sometimes, I finished reading
Dracula, worked out reluctantly every day, did a little hike at Green Mountain. So yeah, nothing too special. But I'm such a homebody that it really didn't matter to me that I didn't have a lot going on. Oh yeah, and I also had that job interview at Victoria's Secret but they have recently informed me that I will not be getting the job, which just kind of made me laugh. YOUR LOSS VICTORIA'S SECRET. (Actually it was because they needed people to work the morning shift and I can't because of nannying.) So yeah, no worries, I'm not upset. Other opportunities await.

After a fairly mellow week, I had the raddest of weekends. On Friday, my friend Paul and I went on a hike at the Manitou Incline down in Colorado Springs. Ok, Colorado Springs is BEAUTIFUL first of all. I felt like a tourist but I was seriously just amazed! But alright let's talk about the Manitou Incline for a sec. GIANT. STAIRCASE. OF. DEATH. That's how I would describe it to you. I'm not sure how long it is, but using my Wikipedia knowledge, this incline gains 2,000 feet of elevation in less than one mile! I consider myself pretty in shape but this just about killed me. It was really fun though. Where's the fun without a little challenge right? Plus the view at the top was worth it, as usual. I always say that after every hike, but that's because it's true.

Also a highlight of this weekend: Jessica, Chloe's roommate from college and one of my best friends, flew in from California and surprised Chloe! She spent the weekend here and made things that much more awesome and fun. We had a blast having a fire, hiking, and exploring downtown Denver. I am so happy I got to see Jess one last time before her mission! Saying goodbye was definitely hard, but I know we'll stay friends so it's fine. What I'm going to do without her and Chloe this next year and a half, I have no idea!

And as I mentioned, we went to Denver which is something I've been wanting to do since I first got to Colorado! We got lucky because it just so happened to be the time of the Chalk Art Festival when we showed up, so we got to see neat-o work.

Other than that we just got to explore downtown Denver, and once again I was feeling like a tourist. I just can't help but get so excited when things are pretty or cute or awesome around me. If I needed more reasons to love Colorado, Denver did just that for me.

Anyway, you can probably tell how much I love Colorado because I never shut up about it.
